Joyce Y. Grady

Joyce Y. Grady, 79, Brule, WI, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at her residence.

She was born in Oshkosh, WI to Herbert and Elvira (Garbe) Gutknecht.


She was born and raised in Oshkosh but has also lived in Hawaii, California, Illinois and Minnesota before moving back to Wisconsin twenty years ago.

She was employed as an accountant for various businesses in Rush City and the Twin Cities.
Joyce enjoyed wintering in Hawaii. She was loved by many and touched many lives.

She is survived by two daughters, Yvette (Mark) Winiecki, Hugo, MN, Wendy Lane, Brule, WI; four sons, Russell (Sharon Esberg) Lane, Cottage Grove, MN, William “Earl” (Loraly) Lane, Andover, MN, Edward (Lee Ann) Lane, Burnsville, MN, Paul Lane, Moose Lake, MN; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one sister, Judy (Greg) Foster, Edmund, OK; two sisters-in-law, Mary Gutknecht, Cedar, MN, Annabel Sparks, Shilo, IL and many nieces and nephews.

Joyce is preceded in death by her first husband, John J. Grady; her second husband, Russell Lane; a daughter, Yvonne Ziesmer; a brother, Herbert Gutknecht and a sister, Diane Young.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 Noon and will continue until the 1:00 PM Memorial Service on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Grace Baptist Church in Iron River.
