Joyce G. Klugow

Joyce G. Klugow, 91, Brule, WI resident, passed away quietly on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth. She was born on June 3, 1924 in Turtle Lake, WI to Elmer and Glennie (Lewis) Barnes.

Joyce received her Master of Arts Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Superior.

She was an educator for the Maple School District for many years.

She was a longtime active member of the Brule Presbyterian Church, Wisconsin Garden Club Federation and the local Spinners Group.

Joyce is survived by one daughter, Karmyn (Daniel) Brown, Superior, WI; son, Richard (Ann Chang) Klugow, Johnson City, TN; four grandchildren, Chris, Todd, Erin and Aly; four great-grandchildren, Morgan, Zoe, Oliver, Preston; one brother, Rodney (Pauline) Barnes, Oconomowoc, WI and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bernard, brother Leroy Barnes and daughter-in-law, Susan Klugow.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the Brule Presbyterian Church and continue until the 11:00 AM funeral service with Pastor Richard Blood and Pastor H. Duane Aslyn co-officiating.

Burial will take place at a later date in Lakeview Cemetery in Turtle Lake, WI.
