June Plachta

June E. Plachta, 88, lifelong Superior resident, died Thursday, November 12, 2009 in the Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on June 18, 1921 in Superior to Jesse and Hilda Barker.
She was a former member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
June enjoyed fishing, occasional trips to the casino, gardening, country life and she loved life in general. Her most pleasant times were when she would spend time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Carol (James) Androsky, Las Vegas, NV; Mary (Alan) Braget, Cloquet, MN; Roger Plachta, Superior; June (Jay) Olson, South Range, WI; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
June was preceded in death by her husband Raymond; her parents; and four sons, Robert, Ronald, Richard and David Plachta.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM until the 2:00 PM Memorial Service in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 17, 2009.
Deacon Phil Runser of St. Anthony's Catholic Church will officiate.
Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
