June Pretts

June Pretts, 80, of Superior died Friday, May 22, 2009 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Duluth.
June was born on June 4, 1928 in Regina, Canada, and lived in Fergus Falls, Minnesota for many years and spent several years in the state of Georgia.
June has lived in the Superior area for the past four years.
Throughout her years, June was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion. She enjoyed doing volunteer work and putting puzzles together.
She is survived by three sons, Robert “Bob” (Phyllis) Pretts, Superior; Wayne (Sheryl) Pretts, Washington and Jack (Tammy) Pretts, Georgia; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
June was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” Pretts; one sister, Effie Howard; two brothers, Alf Myers and Perry Myers; and her parents, Clara and stepfather, Benjamin Wensel, and Jack Myers.
June enjoyed the loving friendships that were formed during her years as a resident at Lund Hill Apartments at 914 Tower Avenue, Superior.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 28, 2009 in the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior and continue until the 12:00 Noon Funeral Service with Pastor H. Duane Aslyn, officiating.
