Katherine Ann Bacon

Katherine Ann Bacon passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 unexpectedly at the age of 46 surrounded by her family and friends praying her into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Katherine was born on November 23, 1968 in Duluth, MN to Louis and Donna (Webb) Kienbaum.

She graduated from Denfeld High School in 1987 and she attended St. Scholastic and Lake Superior College.

Katherine married Billy Bacon on September 14, 1991 and they would have celebrated twenty-four years of marriage this year.

She was a lifetime member of Bethany Baptist Church.

She loved Gospel music, reading, craftwork and knit looming.

She is preceded in death by her father Louis E. Kienbaum, paternal grandmother Dorothy Kienbaum, four uncles and two aunts.

She is survived by her husband Bill; son Seth Scott Bacon, Minot, N.D.; daughter Jacqueline “Jackie” Bacon, Duluth, MN; sister Sandy (Don) Towle, Hermantown, MN; brother Robert “Bob” Kienbaum, Duluth, MN; her mother Donna Kienbaum, Duluth, MN and nephew Benjamin Towle.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Bethany Baptist Church, 6700 Grand Avenue, Duluth and continue until the 2:00 PM memorial service with Pastor Randy Brodeen and Pastor Mark Watkins, co-officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Katherine Bacon Memorial Fund at the Bethany Baptist Church.
