Kathleen Fisher

Kathleen Fisher, 74, of Superior, WI, passed away December 6, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. She was born the daughter of William and Mary (Johnston) Porter in Superior on January 28, 1949.

Kathleen married Robert P. Fisher, on March 17, 1972. They celebrated 27 years together before his death in October 1999.

She worked for many years as a cook at Prevost’s Restaurant & Bar in Solon Springs, WI. Smear was her game and spent many a winter hour with a card playing group at Belknap Liquor & Lounge. A long-time bird lover, Kathleen collected ceramic and glass birds. She loved her cats, but most of all she loved her sons. She will be missed.

Kathleen is survived by her sons, Nathan Kemp and Jason Kemp; brother Richard Porter; sister MaryKay Wiberg; four granddaughters; one honorary granddaughter; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and special friend of many years, Shawn Strand.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Pat Burgraff.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Kathleen on Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 1:00-4:00 PM in the downstairs community room at Nelson Dewey Apartments, 611 24th Avenue E in Superior.
