Kenneth D. Polston, 70, Iron River, WI, died Monday, August 2,, 2010 in his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on March 19, 1940 in Breeding, KY to Carley and Mary (Davis) Polston.
He was previously employed as a journeyman/machinist for Wisconsin Roller Products and then later became a foreman for Asplundh Tree Service.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Ken enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, play cards and playing pool. He loved spending time with his three dogs, Coco, Peanut and Niko.
He is survived by one son, Kevin Polston, Iron River, WI; one daughter, Kerrie Polston, Iron River, WI; their mother, Karen Polston, Iron River, WI; two grandchildren, Karen (Jared) Popp, Iron River, WI; Jacob Polston, Iron River, WI; one great-granddaughter, Abbi, Iron River, WI; two brothers, Wallace (Donna) Polston, Union Grove, WI; Willard (Faye) Polston, Elkhornm, WI; three sisters, Della Ray Montgomery, Columbia, KY, Carol (Gene) Cowan, Columbia, KY, Arlene Miller, Burlington, WI; four sisters-in-law: Judy Polston, Cincinnati, OH, Bev Polston, Fort Wayne, IN, Norma Polston, Burlington, WI, Barbara (Dennis) Painter, Cloquet, MN; three brothers-in-law; Harvey Willoughby, Esko, MN; Robert (Julie) Willoughby, Racine, WI, Charles (Louise) Fudge, Breeding, KY and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, William, Kirby, Keith and Joseph and two sisters, Anna and Phyllis.
Visitation will begin at 12 noon until the 1:00 PM Funeral Service on Monday, August 9, 2010 at the Iron River Presbyterian Church with Rev. H. Duane Aslyn, officiating.
