Kim Marie Popoe

Kim Marie Popoe, 63, passed away Wednesday January 15, 2025, with her granddaughter by her side. She was born on October 8, 1961, in Duluth MN. Kim Grew up in Duluth and Hoyt Lakes MN, and Graduated from Aurora Hoyt Lakes High School.

She was united in marriage to Steven Popoe on June 14, 1986.

Kim worked many jobs over the years, retiring in October 2024 from Keyport Liquor as a cashier.

Kimmy Loved the Packers, playing cards and her “scratchies,” but more than anything she loved her Family. She was a devoted wife, Mother and Grandmother.

Kim is preceded in death by her father, Mark Foster; her mother and stepfather Lorraine and Charles Akervik; a brother Mitchell Mackey; and a sister Debbie Halstead.

Kim is survived by her husband of 38 years, Steve; her daughter Maria Foster and Son Joshua Popoe; sister Valerie (Michael) Baudhuin, brothers Jay, Scott, Kevin, And Tobin Akervik. She is also survived by her 5 Grandchildren, whom she loved dearly Danika Foster, Naheisha and Magic Walker, Ahnyah And Baneen Grey, and her Great Grandson Trevontae.

A Celebration of Kim's Life will be held beginning at 4:00 PM, Friday February 21, 2025, at Borders Sports Bar, 3026 E State Street (Hwy 105) Superior, WI.
