Kip Mattison

Kip Michael Mattison, 66, Duluth resident, died Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. He was born on July 30, 1956 in Superior, WI to Wallace and Marjorie (Peterson) Mattison.

He graduated from Superior Senior High School and worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad for many years.

Kip had a passion for football and staying at the cabin, but what he enjoyed most in life was being surrounded by family. He loved his nieces and nephews and spending time with them. He will be greatly missed.

Kip is survived by his sisters, Jodie (Stephen) Boggs, Downingtown, PA, Kathy (Lynn) Turnbull, Mountain Iron, MN and Robin Klein, Hibbing, MN; brothers, Scott Mattison, Downingtown, PA, and Donald Mattison, Superior, WI; nine nieces and nephews, Kristopher (Rachel) Turnbull, Jennifer (Rick) Larson, Angela (Skip) Couture, Paige Klein, Lindsey Spehar, Vanessa Vieau, Andrea Newman, Jenna Mattison and Timothy Mattison; seven great-nephews and nieces; and his best friends John Letourneau and Jackie.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Daniel and David Mattison. We would like to thank all of you who remembered Kip.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.  All our Love, his family and friends.

A private family service has been held.
