Larry Peterson

Larry Peterson, 88, lifelong area resident, died Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center in South Range, WI. He was born March 29, 1931, the son of Chester and Ruth (Beckman) Peterson.

He graduated high school and owned and operated a family farm in Poplar, WI for many years. Larry was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Poplar. He loved to golf and was on the Poplar Golf League. He also enjoyed bowling for the Maple Co-Op and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Above all, Larry loved his dogs, farming and cattle.

He is survived by his sister, Joyce Peterson; nephew, Gary (Mary) Peterson; great niece, Melissa (Cassidy) Javner, and their daughter Alli; and great-nephews, Chris and Cory Peterson.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Verlyn (Bernadine Reynolds) Peterson.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 10, 2020, at Peace Lutheran Church, 9523 E. US Hwy 2, Poplar, WI, and will continue until the 12:00 PM funeral service with Pastor Donna Rutten officiating.
