Laura Mae Brown

Laura Mae Brown, 78, Superior, died Saturday, August 24, 2013 at St. Luke’s Hospital, surrounded by her family.

She was born on December 28, 1934 in Superior, WI, the daughter of John and Loretta (Rodewald) Fair.

Laura graduated from Northwestern High School in Maple, WI. in its first graduating Class.

She married Clarence Brown on March 25, 1964 and recently celebrated forty-nine years of marriage.

Laura enjoyed taking pictures, embroidery, spending time with grandchildren, watching ships on Lake Superior, camping, going to the cabin and playing the accordion.

Laura is survived by her husband, Clarence “Snookey” Brown; children, Lawrence (Tammy) Brown, Maple, WI, Bruce (Wendy) Brown, Maple, WI, Roy (Nicole) Brown, Lake Nebagamon, WI, Jacquelyn (Mike) Phillips, Poplar, WI, her two sisters, Jean Hazuka, Lake Nebagamon, WI, Shirley (Lee) Adams, Augusta, WI; ten grandchildren, Jessica, Amanda, Brady, Morgan, Jamie, Ashley, Jordan, Riley, Caleb and Caden.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jack Fair; one sister, Dorothy Largent; grandson, Ryan Stowers; brother-in-law, Don Hazuka and sister-in-law, Martha Brown.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Central Assembly of God, 3000 Hammond Avenue, Superior and continue until the 1:00 PM, Funeral Service with Pastor Tom Miller, officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren, Jessica, Amanda, Brady, Morgan, Jamie, Ashley, Jordan, Riley, Caleb and Caden.
