Lauri Arthur Lind

Lauri Arthur Lind, 92, Shoreview, MN resident, died on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at New Perspective Senior Living in Roseville, MN. He was born on January 2, 1925 in Oulu, WI to Andrew and Marie (Rahko) Lind.

He served his country in the United States Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. Lauri was employed at the Board of Education in Duluth, MN as a bus mechanic retiring in 1982 after many years of service.

He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Iron River, VFW Post #10197 and a former member and leader of B.S.A.

Lauri is survived by two daughters, Peggy (John) Thomas, Shoreview, MN and Lorey (Dale) Kusnierek, Porterville, CA; one son, Michael (Holly) Lind, Thief River Falls, MN; five grandchildren, Andrew, Richard, Janet, David and Mikko and thirteen great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife Lorraine, daughter Betty Musolf and his parents.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Iron River, WI and continue until the 12:00 PM memorial service with Pastor Sarah Kerkes officiating. Burial will be in Pine Glade Cemetery in Oulu, WI.
