Laurie Rasimaki

Laurie Rasimaki, 72, longtime Port Wing, WI area resident, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. He was born in Ashland, WI on October 16, 1943, the son of Laurie and Mary (Nicoletti) Rasimaki.

Laurie married Sandra Swanson on November 9, 1963 and had recently celebrated fifty-two years on marriage.

He was employed by the former Odberg and Ryan and Benna Ford in Superior as an Auto Tech for many years.

Laurie was a member of the South Shore Trail Club and the NRA.

He loved spending time with his family, being outdoors with his K-9 friend Chester and working in his garage on his many projects.

Laurie is survived by his wife, Sandy, Port Wing, WI; two daughters, Brenda (David) Hughes, Aurora, MN and Tracy (Jim Davis) Lott, Superior, WI; two grandsons, David Hughes and Colton Guski; one sister, Mary (Richard) Morris, Ashland, WI and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and special friend, Paul Voelker.

He is preceded in death by his parents and in laws, Orville and Helen Swanson.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 21, 2016 in First Lutheran Church, Port Wing, WI and continue until the 11:00 AM memorial service with Pastor Nancy Hanson officiating.
