Lavaughn M. Lohman

LaVaughn, M. Lohman, 63, longtime Superior resident, died peacefully, Monday, August 9, 2021, at Twin Ports Health Services in Superior. She was born in Hibbing, MN, March 30, 1958, the daughter of Richard and Lucille (Kennen) Lohman.

LaVaughn worked as waitress and as a cashier at various locations over the years. She was most recently employed at Menards in Superior. She had previously worked at Metz Bakery Outlet Stores in Superior and West Duluth for over twenty years.

She enjoyed bowling and stock car racing. Above all, LaVaughn was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, Aunt, daughter, and friend, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her!

She is survived by her daughters, Ashley (Chad) Bennett, Superior, WI, Keely Nelson, Anchorage, AK, and Molly Nelson, Denver, CO; son, Alexander Boortz, Superior, WI; grandchildren, Kylie and David; sisters, Melanie Brown and Nadine Lohman, both of Superior; brothers, Kevin (Sherry) Lohman, Superior, WI, Scott Lohman, Superior, WI, and Michael (Sandy) Lohman, Spokane, WA; many nieces and nephews; her mother, Lucille Sullivan, Superior, WI; and father, Richard (Debra) Lohman, Superior, WI; and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Evelyn Smith; stepfather, William Sullivan; brother, Steve Lohman; and niece, Nicole Lohman.

A Time of Remembrance will be held from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5 ^th Street, Superior.
