Lavonne "Bonnie A. (Prugh) Dahlberg

LaVonne Adelyn (Prugh) Dahlberg ascended to heaven on Monday, May 10, 2021 at the age of 92. She was born on August 18, 1928 in Thief River Falls, Minnesota to Horace and Ruth (Anderson) Prugh. She was known to family and friends as “Bonnie”. The family moved to Superior, Wisconsin around 1942.

Bonnie graduated from Superior Central High School in 1946. After a brief move to Minneapolis, she returned to Superior and in 1950 married Arthur C. Dahlberg Jr. Bonnie became employed by Superior Memorial Hospital in the business office after her children were all in school. Following their retirements, Bonnie and Art traveled extensively about the country in their motorhome. They relocated to Mesa, Arizona in the late eighties and spent summers back in Superior. At their Arizona home Bonnie developed her hobbies involving ceramics and clogging. She participated in pool exercise throughout her retirement to which she attributed her longevity. Bonnie and Art moved back to Superior in the mid-nineties to be near family. Bonnie was always cheerful and those who knew her recognized her smile, wit, and sense of humor.

Bonnie was predeceased by her parents and husband, infant son Jeffrey Scott Dahlberg, grandson Shane Dahlberg, brother Dennis Prugh and sister/best friend Colleen Hunter.

She is survived by her children James (Darcy) Dahberg, Julie Kern, Joni Dahlberg, Janie Dahlberg and Jodie (Jim) Nelson, nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

There will not be a service per her wishes. The family will gather at a later date to celebrate her life and rejoice in her love.

A special note of thanks to her daughter Julie and the Essentia Hospice team for the loving care they gave Bonnie during her final chapter.
