Lawrence "Larry" Davies

Lawrence “Larry” Davies, 74, Lake Nebagamon, WI resident and formerly of Poplar, WI, died on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. Larry was born on September 11, 1942 in Lafayette, IN to Richard and Bette (McClean) Davies. He was raised by his grandmother at her resort on Gull Lake in Lampson, WI.

He graduated from Spooner High School and the Dunwoody Institute in the Auto Program. Larry was the owner/operator of Middle River Restoration in Poplar, WI. He married Diane Edquist on July 7, 1997 and celebrated nineteen years of marriage. Larry enjoyed working on cars and shooting pool.

He is preceded in death by his mother and stepfather Bette and Jack Stackhouse, father Richard Davies, stepson Dennis Ahola and grandmother Bernice McClean.

Larry is survived by his wife, Diane; one daughter, Kelli (Keith) Colalillo, TX; three grandchildren, Bruce Glau, Kimberly Hoyer and Corrine Larson; one great-grandson, Owen Hoyer and one brother, Terry (Lorna) Davies, Philippine Islands.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
