Leona M. Lindegren

Leona Mae Lindegren, 88, a longtime Superior resident died Friday, October 14, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. Leona was born March 19, 1934, in Eau Claire, WI, to Howard and Lillian Johnson. She moved to Bennett, WI in 1937 and then moved to Superior, WI in 1950.

Leona married Edward Lindegren on June 10, 1955, and they recently celebrated 67 years of marriage.

Leona worked as a bookkeeper at National Bank of Commerce, Superior, WI until her children were born. After her children were in school, she worked as a greeting card representative for American Greetings for over twenty years before retiring.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Leona is survived by her husband, Ed; daughter, Cindy (Tom) Fennessey, Carol Lindegren and Cathy (Tracy) Remington; brother, Clyde (Mary) Johnson and her sister Louise (Jack) Pope; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 21, 2022, at Concordia Lutheran Church, 1708 John Avenue in Superior, and will continue until the 11:00 AM Memorial Service with Pastor Michelle Rowell officiating.
