Liisa Valhalla

Liisa Varhalla (nee White), of Duluth, MN, passed away unexpectedly at her home on her 69 ^th birthday November 30, 2020. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter; her mother, Alda (nee Anderson); her aunt, Helen Corona; and a special cousin, Carol Starnes. She is survived by a daughter and two granddaughters, and two cousins, Nancy (William) Rouner, and Helen Corona.

Liisa was a writer; a lover of music, reading, Lake Superior, and her dog, Dakota. She had a marvelous sense of humor, and great compassion and empathy for others.

An only child, her cousins were like sisters to her, and she will be greatly missed.

Per her wishes, no service will be held, and she will be cremated and her ashes spread on Lake Superior, as her mothers were.

Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home in Superior is handling the arrangements.
