Lillian J. Erkkila

Lillian J. Erkkila, 69, lifelong area resident, died Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Essential Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. She was born in Superior, May 23, 1950, the daughter of Oiva and Ailie (Keto) Erkkila.

Lillian earned her associate’s degree from WITC-Ashland, and worked for Bayfield County. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church where she served as a recording secretary and worked with the youth group. She was also the hospitality coordinator at church, and was a big Milwaukee Brewers fan.

She is survived by her brother, Rodney Erkkila, Maple, WI; and several cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, Friday, June 28, 2019 at Faith Lutheran Church, 4641 S. County Road F, Maple, and will continue until the 1:00 PM memorial service with Pastor John Knierim officiating.

Burial will be in Everrest Cemetery in Waino.
