Linda J. Place, 62, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, went home to Jesus on Monday, July 8, 2013.
Linda was born on July 21, 1950 in Superior, WI to Chet and Helen Anecki.

She graduated from Superior Senior High School in 1968; she then went on to obtain her nursing degree. Linda was a committed and talented nurse for over thirty-eight years. She was currently employed at St. Francis Nursing Home.

Linda was married on August 5, 1972 to Michael Finckler. They were married twenty years until Michael’s death. They had two daughters, Heather and Bridgette.
Linda remarried on July 27, 2002 to Michael Place and they were married for almost eleven years.
Linda was a member of Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church.

Linda was a diehard fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. She was a beautiful gardener, had a love of books and a passion for traveling.
She gave herself to those she loved fully and completely. If you knew her, you were blessed.

Linda is survived by her husband, Michael; two daughters, Heather (Sean) Brennan, Superior, WI and Bridgette Finckler, Coon Rapids, MN; three grandchildren, Tristan, Ireland and Stella Brennan; one brother, Art (Sue) Anecki, Buffalo, MN; one sister, Debbie (Mike) Hill, Superior, WI ; close friends, Cindi (Thom) Holden and Mary Jo McKenna and many other nieces, nephews and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her first husband Michael Finckler.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior.

Visitation will resume at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church, 1111 Belknap Street, Superior and continue until the 11:00 AM Memorial Mass with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci as celebrant.
