Lois J Hendry

Lois J. Hendry, 90, Superior, WI resident, died on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Superior Rehab and Nursing Center in Superior, WI. She was born on February 8, 1927 in Oconto, WI to Lloyd and Ruth “Elsie” (Vuoti) Baldwin.

Lois was a teacher for over twenty years. She taught in the Solon Springs School District for over three years and in the Superior School District for eighteen years retiring in 1990.  Lois was also a Sunday School Teacher for many years at the first Evangelical Covenant Church in Superior, WI.  Her Christian faith was central to her life.

In the spring of 1950, Lois met Charles Raymond Hendry in Solon Springs, WI.  They were married in August of 1950 and had celebrated over 55 years of marriage until his death in December of 2005.

Lois was joined in death by her daughter Ruth who died on Saturday, March 25, 2017, her parents and a son, Tim Hendry.

Lois is survived by three sons, Charles E. Hendry, Superior, WI, Jon (Evelyn) Hendry, Gwinn, MI and Stephen (Beth) Hendry, Superior, WI; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Hendry, Superior, WI; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

There will be joint funeral service for Lois and her daughter Ruth on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 in the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior, with visitation starting at 10:00 AM and continuing until the11:00 AM funeral service with Pastor Jon Hendry officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Solon Springs, WI.
