Loren E. Byberg, 67, lifelong Superior resident, died unexpectedly, Thursday, December 24, 2020 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Superior, October 21, 1953, the son of Holger and Ethel (Wangen) Byberg.
Loren graduated high school and went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Navy and Army National Guard, receiving honorable discharge from the United States Navy, May 19, 1978, and from the Army National Guard, October 10, 1997.
He worked in shipping and receiving at Dunbars Supply for many years before his retirement.
Loren was united in marriage to Denise Warriner, October 20, 1995, and they recently celebrated twenty-five years of marriage before his passing.
He was a member of the Superior Moose Lodge #606, was a proud member of the Nam Knights of America Motorcycle Club, and was an avid packer fan.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Denise Byberg; daughters, April Newman, Wendy Newman (Chris Saari) of Superior WI, and Carrie (Dino) Trnjanin of Coon Rapids, MN; and grandchildren, Steven, Hunter, and Hayden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Holgar and Ethel Byberg of Superior, WI.
The family would like to announce that a Celebration of Life will be held for both Loren and Denise Byberg from 9:00 – 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5 th Street, Superior with a service to begin at 11:00 AM. Gary Banker will officiate.
Burial will be in Veterans Memorial Park in Greenwood Cemetery, where Military Honors will be accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post 435 Honor Guard.
