Loretta Mae Rose

Loretta Mae Rose, 84, lifelong area resident, died Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. She was born in Superior, April 28, 1933, the daughter of Cornelia Grube.

Loretta enjoyed her years as a homemaker. She was an avid gardener and loved animals.

She is survived by her children, Virginia Rose, Superior, James Rose, Valrico, FL, Steve Rose, Otsego, MN and Tim (Linda) Rose, Maple, WI; several grandchildren, including, Taylor Rose and Cordell Boody; sisters-in-law, Betty Rose, South Range, WI and Renee Nelson, Middle River, WI; cousins, Rudy Grube, AZ and Mike Grube, Poplar, WI; numerous other relatives and friends; and her beloved cat, “Kitty”.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Cornelia Makela; beloved husband, John Rose; and brother, Ted Makela.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
