Lori Ann Closson

Lori Ann Closson, 55, longtime resident of Superior, WI, died peacefully, Sunday, September 20, 2020 at her home. Lori was born in Durand, WI on March 17th, 1965, the daughter of James and Donna (Catura) Fredrickson.

Lori graduated high school and went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Social Work. She worked as a Case Manager at the Duluth Bethel Rehabilitation Facility for many years. She was a member of the Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church in Superior. She was a founding member of both SPLAT and TRODIA.

Lori lived for her children and grandchildren. Her face would light up whenever they would enter the room. She was an empath with a compassionate heart and welcomed all with open arms. Lori's smile and laugh were infectious. She was truly beautiful inside and out. She positively impacted the lives of many.

She is survived by her daughter, Brookelyn (Benjamin) Treichel, Siren, WI; Sons, Adam (Maria) Zielinski, Mora, MN; and Cody Closson, Superior, WI; Grandchildren, Isabella Zielinski, Ivory, Delilah, and Cash Treichel; Father, James (Katherine) Fredrickson, Superior, WI; Brother, Michael (Nancy) Fredrickson, Superior WI; longtime partner, Todd; several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her Mother; Son, Andrew Closson; and Brother, Steven Fredrickson.

Due to COVID19 a private family service will be held. We want to have an opportunity to share food, stories, tears, and laughter when large gatherings are possible. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
