Lorraine M. Archambeault

Lorraine M. Archambeault, 98, lifelong Superior resident, died peacefully, Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Twin Ports Health Services with her family by her side. She was born in Superior, November 10, 1922, the daughter of Samuel and Hilja (Bjornia) Vendela.

She was united in marriage to Lawrence D. Archambeault at St. Anthony Catholic Church on May 8, 1941 and they celebrated seventy-two years of marriage before his passing in 2013.

Lorraine enjoyed her years raising her family and working at the former, St. Francis Hospital, and at St. Mary’s Hospital before retiring in 1983. She was a longtime member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Superior and was active with the St. Anthony ladies’ group. She was also a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, St. Mary’s Auxiliary, and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary 1091.

Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Beverly (John) Kimmes, Superior, WI; son, Michael (Terri) Archambeault, Stetsonville, WI; sisters, Arlene and Edna; brother, Lester; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; and her sister-in-law, Sister Adele Archambault, Superior, WI;

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry; daughter, Lorraine Jaros; son, Larry Jr.; sisters, Irene and Ellen; brothers, Clarence and John; and her parents.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 13, 2021 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 4315 E. 3 ^rd Street, Superior, and will continue until the 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci officiating.

Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.
