Lorraine K. Autio

Lorraine K. Autio, 90, lifelong Maple, WI resident, died Monday, April 2, 2018 at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on April 14, 1927 in Maple, WI to Hjalmer and Hannah (Salo) Walman.

Lorraine worked as a CNA at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center for many years and prior to that farmed. She was a member of the Finnish Apostolic Church in Maple.

Lorraine is survived by one son, John (Diane Pearson) Autio, Maple, WI; two daughters, Ann (Daniel) Pluntz, Barnes, WI and Jane (William) Maula, Superior, WI; one grandson, Joseph (Lauren) Autio, La Crosse, WI;; one sister, Alice Christenson, Wentworth, WI and several nieces and nephews and her cat Porrikka. She is preceded in death by her husband Mattias in 1991, her parents and brothers Clifford and Edward Walman.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Middle River Great Room and continue until the 1:00 PM memorial service with Bev Pedersen officiating.  Burial will be in the Maple Memorial Cemetery in Maple, WI at a later date.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the entire staff at Middle River for the exceptional care she received to make it home.
