Lorraine Penney

Lorraine Penney, 85, lifelong Superior resident, died Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Essential Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth.

She was born on February 27, 1928 in Superior to Andrew and Mary (Pliska) Moreau.

She was employed as a bookkeeper for Penney’s and Tri-State Automotive.

Lorraine was a member of Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church.

She is survived by three sons, Joey E. Penney, Steve Penney and Tom (Lynne) Penney, all of Superior; one daughter, Gloria Goodell, Tustin, CA; eight grandchildren, Scott, Cammie, Raymond, Danniel, Joshua, Jeremiah, Travis and Allissa; five great-grandchildren, Cassandra, Cody and Alexis Anderson, and Brandon Moreno and Adam Penney.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph on August 18, 2003 and her parents.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Cathedral of Christ the King with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci as celebrant.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers for the service will be Joe Zinmer, Mark Zinmer, John Conner and Eric Penney.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lorraine’s great-grandchildren Cassandra, Cody and Alexis Anderson, Brandon Moreno and Adam Penney.
