Louis A. Viggiano, 60, lifelong Superior resident, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. He was born on September 22, 1962, in Superior, WI to James and Muriel (Lee) Viggiano.
Louis graduated from Superior Senior High School in the class of 1980. He then attended the University of Wisconsin – Superior and went on to work at Black Bear Casino in Carlton, MN for 20 years.
He married the love of his life, Linda Jacobson, on September 21, 2004, in North Dakota. They celebrated eighteen years of marriage before his passing.
Louis was an avid sportsman and played hockey as an all-star goalie in high school. He was also a member of ACC Midwest Transportation.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Viggiano; daughter, Tara Jacobson; son, George (Danielle) Kokolis; stepchildren, Keela Jacobson, and Aaron O’Donnald; grandchildren, Shianna Daly, Kourtney Daly, Lyle Kokolis, and Amelia Kokolis; great-granddaughter, Malayah; sisters, Rita (Don) Matheson and Kim (Peter) Susens; brother, Glenn (Susie) Viggiano; and sister-in-law, Sue Viggiano; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Louis is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jay Viggiano; and grandson, Pierre Peterson.
A Celebration of Life and Time of Remembrance will be held from 1:00-4:00 PM on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at the Billings Park Civic Center, 3903 N. 18th Street in Superior, WI.
