Lovie "Rockie" L. Odberg

Lovey “Rockie” L. Odberg, 78, of Lake Nebagamon, died Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, MN. She was born in Grand Rapids, MN, November 15, 1940, the daughter of Gordon and Love (Hicks) Johnson

Rockie was united in marriage to Odell Odberg, February 18, 1961, and they celebrated fifty-eight years of marriage before her passing.

She was the executive secretary of the Education & Research Department at the Essentia Health – Duluth Clinic for thirteen years before her retirement in 2000.

Rockie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Nebagamon. She was an artist and enjoyed painting, golfing, fishing and gardening.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Odell; daughters, Kathleen Hope, Fountain Hills, AZ, and Diane (Kyle) Gustafson, Esko, MN: sons, Michael (Annabelle) Odberg, Cradon, WI, and Kevin (Jane) Odberg, Midlothian, VA; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Ryan, Sara, Erika, Bryn, Kaden, and Maddie; brothers, Wayne (Marcy) Johnson, Hibbing, MN, Douglas (Patricia) Johnson, Belleair, FL, Curt (Sunny) Johnson, Hibbing, MN, Roth Shilts, Brookings, OR, and John Shilts, Westminster, MD; sister, Sherill Chand, Eureka, CA; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Gordon and his wife, the mother who raised her, Dorothy Johnson; and mother, Love Rocha.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 11416 East 1 ^st Street North, Lake Nebagamon, WI, and will continue until the 11:00 AM memorial service with Pastor Darrell Kyle officiating.
