Lucille “Lucy” Faye Dietrick, longtime resident of Solon Springs, WI, died peacefully, Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. She was born in Duluth, MN March 11, 1947, the daughter of Donald and Shirley (Montgomery) Dietrick.
She graduated from the former Stan Brook Hall in Duluth, MN, and went on to earn her Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Wisconsin-Superior, and her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
Lucy dedicated her years working in the human services field as a Social Worker with Carlton County Child Protective Services for many years. She also taught alternative Indian Education at Fond du Lac Community College.
Lucy was a member of the Eagles Aire #80, and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, doing beadwork, and reading.
She is survived by her daughter, Jean (Bill) Androsky, Solon Springs, WI; sons, Mike (Diane) Hendrickson, and Ross (Beth) Hendrickson; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeanne (Wally) Nickila, and Dawn Foote; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends, Nancy and Ginny.
She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Leonard Tetzlaff; daughter, Mollie Boreen; and great-granddaughter, Aurora Jean Ann.
A Celebration of Lucy's Life will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM, Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the Gordon Town Hall, 9709 County Road Y, Gordon, Wisconsin.
