Luther S. Fletcher

Luther Samuel Fletcher,87, Superior resident, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Essentia Health Miller Dwan in Duluth, MN. He was born on June 12, 1935, in New Hampton, New Hampshire, the son of Walter and Jennie (Tucker) Fletcher.

Skip served in the Air Force for 4 years during which time he met his future wife, Andre’a Layton. Shortly, after doing an in-depth study of the Bible, he became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. As a minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Skip devoted the majority of his life to helping people understand the Bible and which he himself tried hard to live by.
Skip is survived by his wife of 67 years, Andre’a; daughter Christine (Joe) Bitner; sons, Luther Scott (Loretta) Fletcher and Andrew Fletcher; sister-in-law Marge Fletcher; one grandson; numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
Per Skip’s wishes, no services will be held.
