Lyle R. Christianson

Lyle R. Christianson, 46, longtime Superior resident, formerly of Spooner, WI, died unexpectedly, Sunday, August 16, 2020 at his home following an illness. He was born in Duluth, MN, April 13, 1974, the son of Jack Davis and Marcella (Miller) Johanson.

He graduated high school and went on to become and auto mechanic.

Lyle loved auto mechanics and lived his passion building and working on classic cars and hot rods. He especially loved his pride and joy, his self-built rat rod “Mixed Nuts”. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need, and will be dearly missed by those who knew him.

He is survived by his lovely daughters, Jamie (Karson) Young, Mandy Christianson, and Michyla Christianson (Nick); grandson, Nicholi “Niko”; siblings, Angela Hutchinson, Kurt Hutchinson, Deandra (Jerry) Larson, twin brother, Martin “Marty” (Rachael) Christianson, Jackie (Steven) Wallen, Cory (Cynthia) Davis, and Chris Davis (Chassidy); and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jack Davis;

A Celebration of Lyle’s Life will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Friday, August 28, 2020 at the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior.
