Mara Kaye Krysiak, age 21, of Superior, WI passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, January 13, 2014 at the WI Children’s Hospital of Milwaukee.
Mara was a 2010 graduate of Superior High School demonstrating her Spartan pride on the golf, softball, and bowling teams. She was a teller at Superior Savings Bank.
Mara LIVED with her heart disease and taught others to live life to the fullest no matter what their limitations. She was very adventurous, outgoing, and loved to be outside. Mara’s idea of a good time was a day of fishing, hanging out at the camper, sitting by a fire, 4-wheeling and snowmobiling, bowling, or playing BINGO. Mara will be remembered fondly by her many family and friends for her great sense of humor, her ability to embrace life, and for her strong will and selflessness.
Mara was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandmother, Eleanore Talaska; maternal grandmother Mary Kaye Talaska; and paternal grandfather, Cris Krysiak.
Mara’s spirit will live on through her parents, Heather and Craig; brother, Collin; grandmother, Betty Krysiak; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and many special friends.
A Celebration of Mara’s Life will be held on Monday, January 20, 2014 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2316 E 4th Street, Superior WI. Visitation will begin at 3pm and continue until the 4pm service. Dinner will follow in the church fellowship hall immediately after the service.
