Marcella Mattson

Marcella Mattson, 82, of Maple, WI, died on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. She was born on March 2, 1935 in Maple, WI to Eric and Mary (Saari) Mattson. She was the youngest of fourteen children.

Marcella graduated from Northwestern High School in Maple, WI. She was employed as a secretary for various companies including Beyond Petroleum and Atlantic Richfield Oil Company for many years.

Marcella is survived by one sister, Karen Lane, Brooklyn Park, MN and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by six sisters, Helen Tacke, Elsie Mannik, Aune Petroske, Eileen Walroos, Sigrid Pohjonen and Mae Makela and six brothers, Eino, Ruben, Martin, Arthur, Arne and Paul Mattson and her parents.

Per Marcella’s request, no public services will be held. A private family burial will take place at a later date at Faith Lutheran Cemetery in Maple.
