Marcella E Willis Johnson

Marcella E. Willis Johnson, 89, longtime Lake Nebagamon resident, died August 27, 2014 at Essentia Health, St Mary’s, Medical Center Duluth, Minnesota.

She was born on October 1, 1924 in Superior to Roy and Vera (Nelson) Shannon.

She was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the former Memorial Hospital in Superior.

Marcella was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Nebagamon, the Superior Elks Lodge #403, the Elkettes #403 and the Forever Young Dance Group in Arizona.

She enjoyed spending time at her lake home on Lake Minnesuing and wintering in Mesa, Arizona.

Marcella’s family and friends were the most important thing in her life.

Marcella is survived by five daughters, Linda Moreau, Blaine, MN, Arlene (Jeff) Farmer, Brooklyn Park, MN, Patti Rockwood, Mesa, AZ, Lori (Scott) Rabideaux, Lake Nebagamon and Kelley (Kelly) “Ditch” Warn, Lake Nebagamon, Wi; fifteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Minor Willis, her second husband, Warren Johnson; three sons, Michael, Robert and Gary and her parents.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 3, 2014 and continue until the 12:00 Noon Funeral Service at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Nebagamon with Pastor Darrell Kyle, officiating.

Burial will be in Lake Nebagamon Cemetery.

Marcella’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center for their wonderful care they extended during her stay.
