Margaret A. Cook

Margaret A. Cook, 77, of Superior, WI died peacefully, Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN.

Margaret was born in Ishpeming, MI on April 15, 1944, the daughter of Walfred and Margaret Bernadette (Rice) Hoglund.

Margaret was united into Marriage to George H. Cook in May of 1970, and they celebrated 51 years of marriage before her passing. Margaret graduated from WITC with an Account Clerk Diploma and worked for the Superior Telegram in the Accounting Department for many years. She enjoyed doing crosswords and loved spending time with her family, especially her faithful canine companion, Shadow.

Margaret is survived by her husband George; son Kelly (Dorinda) Cook of Superior; two grandchildren, Connor and Mackenzie both of Superior; two sisters, Sharon (Harold) Trewhella, and Merry (Jay) Bengry, both of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Diane “Sis” Peura and Susie Stanaway.

Per Margaret’s wishes, no services will be held. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank all the caregivers that helped to take care of her in her final days.

Cremation Service of Superior, 403 E Street, Superior is assisting the family with arrangements.
