Margaret J. Fedler

December 30, 1940 — September 18, 2023

Margaret “Peggy” Jean Fedler, 82, of Hermantown, MN, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023, in her home. She was born in Superior, WI on December 30, 1940, to Raymond and Blanche (Fitch) Manke.

She graduated from Superior Central High School in 1958. She worked primarily in the banking industry until retirement. She was also known for her side bakery business where she created many beautiful cakes and delicious treats.

Peggy had an immense love of her family and friends. She loved to entertain and created extravagant holiday parties, especially Christmas. She always had a cup of coffee and a treat for anyone who stopped by. She loved to visit her JCPenney family at the mall whom she met through her husband Earl. Peggy was an incredibly kind and caring woman with a great sense of humor. She enjoyed socializing, traveling, and anything that involved her grandson, Ethan. Despite being a very picky eater, she was a great cook who amazed others with her ability to make delicious meals for them without tasting herself. She loved to share her talents with others and was a natural teacher. Recently while teaching family to make her famous pork chops, she admitted she always wanted to host a cooking show. Peggy was also an avid seamstress, creating most of her wardrobe for years.

She will be greatly missed by her sons James (Patti Jo) and Tim (Tammy) Tomzak, grandson Ethan Tomzak, brother James Manke, stepchildren Todd (Teri), Stacey, and Chris (Paula) Fedler, good friends Steve and Sue Shoberg, as well as many others.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands Earl Fedler, Einer Johnson, and Donald Tomzak.
