Margaret Larson

Margaret Larson, 78, longtime South Range resident, lost her battle with Dementia on Friday, November 4, 2022, in Cloquet, MN. Margaret was born on February 21, 1944, to Carl and Loretta (Harrington) Lukarila.

She graduated from Cathedral School in 1962. On June 9, 1962, Margaret and William “Bill” Larson were married at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Allouez and celebrated 60 years together. She worked at Parkland Health Care Facility as a CNA.

In retirement, Margaret enjoyed many winters in Apache Junction, AZ. She loved entertaining visitors, playing cards, listening to music, and cooking meals. Among her favorite interests were crocheting, crossword finds, watching Wheel of Fortune and hand feeding deer. St. Anthony’s Church and attending weekly mass was an important part of her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Loretta Lukarila, sibling Alice Pheil, and infant son Douglas Anthony Larson.

She is survived by her husband William R. Larson; Siblings Carol Larson and Mary Larson; Children William J. Larson (Tracey), Ann Marie Miller, Lisa Neumann (Dean Silampa), and Laurie Larson (Duane Rolstad); Grandchildren Lea (Jason), Scott (Rachael), Megan (Timmy), Ben (Aerik), Jacob (Poonam), Katie (Robert), Matthew, Christine (Connor), Cassandra (Eddie), Cameron, Samantha (Will), and Zachary (Ema); Great-Grandchildren Dallas (Morgan), Kendylle, Charley, Rylee, Ade Jo, Finley, Lilah, Logan, Amelia, Kaison, and Knox; Great-Great Grandchildren River and Titus. Special life friends Beth Fuller and Peggy Sislo; and her beloved dogs Jackson and Harley.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at St. Anthony Catholic Church and will continue until the Funeral Service with Father Joji Boyapati officiating at 11:00 AM. Luncheon to follow.

Burial will be at Barnes Memorial Cemetery immediately after the luncheon.
