Margaret E. “Margo” Waletzko, 66, Superior, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Golden Living Center of Superior, following a brief bout with cancer.
She was born on October 8, 1948 in Superior to Harold and Mary Lou (Beattie) Peck.
Margo graduated from the former Cathedral High School and went on to earn her degree in Cosmetology and became a manager and owned and operated Brennan’s Hair Design in Superior for many years. She also owned and operated the Four Corners General Store in the Town of Superior in the 1970’s. She and her husband, Tom owned and operated a hobby farm and enjoyed raising horses, dairy and beef cattle and was also very active with raising bees and processing honey. She had been a currier in the area for Velocity and DHL and most recently, she was a cashier at Walmart.
She was a member of the Superior Women’s Golf League and the Superior Women’s Bowling League. She loved being in the outdoors fishing, playing softball and golfing.
Margo is survived by two daughter, Cheryl Lee Waletzko, Superior, Sara Jean (Dustin) Petz, Shell Lake, WI; two sons, Thomas “Tom” (Cindy) Waletzko, Superior, Andrew “Andy” Waletzko, Superior; seven grandchildren, Kelsey Burnham, Sierra (James Line) Robbins, Darrell, RayAnn and David Petz, Bo and Jasmine Waletzko; one great-grandson, Aeon Line and one sister, Kathy Peck, Solon Springs, WI and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tom, a daughter Ann Waletzko and her parents.
Visitation will begin at 3:30 PM on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at St. William’s Catholic Church and will continue until the 5:00 PM Memorial Mass with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci, as celebrant.
