Marilyn Botten

Marilyn Ilene Botten, 81, longtime Lake Nebagamon area resident, died October 3, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital, Duluth, Minnesota.
She was born on June 13, 1928 in Superior, the daughter of William and Selma (Johnson) Miller.
Marilyn married Douglas R. Botten on April 17, 1948 in Superior and recently had celebrated sixty-one years of marriage.
Marilyn was co-owner of Botten Plumbing with her husband Douglas, as well as past owner of Botten's Green Acres Golf Course.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Thursday morning ladies golf club.
Marilyn enjoyed golfing and spending time with family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also an avid Packer fan.
Marilyn will always be lovingly remembered by her husband Douglas, four daughters, Louanne (Mick) Budnick, Lake Nebagamon; Laureen Botten, Lake Nebagamon; Lynn (John) Skandel, Barnes; Callie (Gary) Salveson of Solon Springs; three sons, Douglas (Debbie) Botten, Jr, Barnes; Bradley (Jody) Botten, Lake Nebagamon; Orville (Amy) Botten, Poplar; eleven grandchildren, Paulette (John) Copp, Deanna (Ryan) Nelson, Jessica (Dustin) Smith, Derek (Allie) Botten, Tyrel Botten, Jared Botten, Hilary Botten, Orrin Botten, Hayley Botten, Brett Botten, Brittany Botten; four great-grandchildren, Nate and Kyle Copp, AnnaMae Smith; and Isabel Nelson; many nieces and nephews; and one sister-in-law, Marjorie Botten.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Wednesday October 7, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lake Nebagamon and continue until the 11:00 AM Funeral Service, with Pastor Darrell Kyle, officiating.
Honorary pallbearers for the service will be Marilyn's grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral home is assisting the family with arrangements.
