Marilyn Frances Orlandi, 79, lifelong East End Superior resident, died Wednesday, February 27, 2013 unexpectedly in her home. She was born July 1, 1933 in Superior to Owen and Gladys (Kruse) Erickson.
She graduated from the former East High School in 1951.
Marilyn was employed as a ward clerk at the Superior Memorial Hospital for over thirty years.
She was a lifetime member of the Jaycetts; she enjoyed craftwork, rummage sales and loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Marilyn is survived by one daughter, Linda Johnson, Superior; two sons, Ron (Patty) Orlandi, Superior, Dan (Cathy) Orlandi, Superior; eight grandchildren, Marc Johnson, Sedona, AZ, Sarah (Mark) Ward, Angela Orlandi, Anna Orlandi, Anthony Orlandi, Danny Orlandi, Alexandra Olsen, and Adam Lavine, all of Superior; four great-grandchildren, Austin, Aidan, Andrew and Brooklyn Ward; two brothers, Bob (Sharon) Erickson, Jim (Louise) Erickson; Marilyn’s cousin and special friend, Bev Shafer and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and will continue until the 1:00 PM Memorial Service on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home with Rev. Fr. James Tobolski of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, officiating.
Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Marilyn’s grandchildren will be recognized as honorary pallbearers.
