Marion Jean (Eibon) Dunphy, 86, Superior resident, died Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Encompass Assisted Living Center in Superior.
She was born on September 21, 1928 in Superior, WI to Joseph and Theresa (Irlbeck) Eibon.
Marion graduated in 1947 from the former Cathedral High School in Superior.
She was a secretary for the Edwards-Smet Real Estate and Mortgage Company for many years and raised a family of six children.
Marion was a former member of Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church. She was an active member of the Senior Community Room – Lund-Hill Building. She loved to walk six days a week and watch classic movies.
Marion is survived by six children, James (Lori) Dunphy, Baton Rouge, LA, Mary (Steve Anich) Dunphy, Minocqua, WI, Kevin (Carol) Dunphy, Kennesaw, GA, Patricia “Patsy” (Randy) Bergh, Carlton, MN, Kieran Dunphy, Madison, WI and Joyce (Rick) Dunphy Toya, Superior, WI; thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband James, and brothers Joseph and Robert Eibon and sister Irene (Eibon) Maki.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior and continue until the 10:30 funeral service with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Superior.
