Mark Kangas

Mark Kangas, 64, longtime South Range and Superior resident, died suddenly on August 1, 2025.

He was born in Superior, WI on March 13, 1961.  Mark loved his family and helped care for his nieces and nephews as they grew up along with being his parents’ caretaker in their later years.

He is survived by his siblings: Steve Kangas (Superior, WI), Phil Kangas (Parker, CO), Pris (Jim) Bratek (South Range, WI), and Paul Kangas (Superior, WI).

He was preceded in death by his parents Reino and Martha Kangas, sister Sandy Adams and brother Dale Kangas.

Mark will be missed by his family, his friends and by his “children,” which are his nephew Jake Bratek and niece Beth Sullivan.  He always called them his own, and loved them as such, along with his other nieces and nephews.

There will be a family burial on Thursday August 14th in Superior, WI.
