Mark S. Lach

It is with heavy hearts that we grieve the loss of Mark Stanley Lach, a hard-working, selfless, loving man, who passed away peacefully at the age of 67, on the morning of Friday, September 11, 2020 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN, from injuries sustained in a construction accident.

He was born in Superior, January 20, 1953, the son of Stanley and Nancy (Carlson) Lach.

Mark graduated from Superior Senior High School in 1971, where he played trumpet and competed in wrestling. He was a charter member of the preservation and restoration of the Carnegie Library.

As a master carpenter and general contractor, he worked diligently with amazing craftsmanship, passion, and vision, and he always strived to be the best that he could be. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and a social butterfly. His hobbies were always to help others, but mostly interacting with people, especially his grandchildren.

Mark was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, who cherished his community, church, and family dearly, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

To carry on his legacy are his wife, Paulette; children, Brenda Jarvis, Greg Jarvis, April (Troy) Skorich, Jasin Lach, and Sunshine Lach; grandchildren, Nathan and Marisa Miner, Dylan and Sydney Skorich, Paige and Faith Lach, Destiny and PJ Kerr; and great-grandchildren, Zion and Aryah.

He is also survived by his sisters, Bonnie (Mike) Bulfer, Susan Wood, Pat (Bob) Radcliff, Toni (Ron) Anderson, Wendy (Jim) Benton, Sandee (Jeff) Berthiaume; and brother, Timothy.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Mike.

Visitation will begin 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 17, 2020 at North Bay Community Church, 1316 East 5 ^th Street, Superior, and will continue until the 12:00 PM Memorial Service with Pastor Glenn Johnson officiating.
