Marlene Budnick, 65, Superior, passed away from her earthly life to her heavenly life on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at the Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, MN as a result from complications from COPD.
She was born on February 22, 1949 in Superior and was a lifelong Superior resident.
Some of her accomplishments were working for Head Start as a bus driver, umpiring, coaching and playing in the Superior Women’s Softball league and bowling in the Superior Women’s Bowling League. She was a Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed hockey and softball.
Marlene enjoyed babysitting her great niece, Rhiana and her great nephew, Austin and they were the “Apples of her eye”.
Marlene is survived by one son, Matthew (Molly Lisor) Budnick, Superior; four granddaughters, Brittani and Ashleigh Hughes and Erica Androsky and Casey Chisholm; two great-grandsons, Dominic Androsky and Xai Vang; her siblings Lorne (Renate) Budnick, Brooklyn Center, MN; Connie (Dave) Engel, Albany, Or; Mick (Luanne) Budnick, Lake Nebagamon, WI; Julie Hill, Aurora, CO and Dianne (Bill) Greely, South Range, WI; several nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorne and Maxine Budnick; one sister, Betty McNaughton; two brothers, Rusty and Woody Budnick.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and will continue until the 11:00 AM Funeral Service on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Central Assembly of God Church in Superior with Pastor Corrine Anton, officiating.
