Marvin L. Schaefer

Marvin L. Schaefer, 68, longtime Superior area resident, died Friday, June 2, 2017 at St Mary’s Essentia Health Medical Center in Duluth, MN. He was born on September 14, 1948 in St. Paul, MN the son of Everett and Esther (Sears) Schaefer.

He attended First Covenant Church in Superior. Marvin enjoyed watching sports, loved car rides, walking and liked the races at the Superior Speedway.

He is survived by his mother, Esther Schaefer; one brother, Steve (Lori) Schaefer; two sisters, Cindy Spiering, Superior, WI and Terry (Dennis) Spinner, Gordon, WI; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Marvin was preceded in death by his father, Everett Schaefer and one brother, Russell Allan Schaefer in 1972.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5th Street, Superior, and continue until the 7:00 PM memorial service with Pastor Luke Oliver of First Covenant Church officiating.
