Mary Esther Anderson

Mary Esther Anderson, 99, passed away on January 6, 2024 in Superior, WI.

Mary was born on July 3, 1924 in Superior, daughter of Michael L Sitek and Anna Kulas (Sitek).

Mary graduated from Cathedral High School and Bartley Business School and worked various clerical positions in Superior, retiring from M&I Bank. She was a member of Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of America.

Mary loved traveling, so after retirement she joined a travel club. She also loved needlework (especially counted cross-stitch), reading, and volunteering at church and school. Her happiest times were being with her children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

She is survived by sons Kenn M (Connie), Milwaukee, WI; Tom W (Lynn), Tamarack, MN; and Don J (Suzanne) Mahtomedi, MN; grandchildren Matthew E, Jonah, Noah, Melissa, Matthew J, and Lauren; sister Irene Anderson, Superior, WI; brother Tom (Delores) Sitek, Sun City, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was proceeded in death by her parents and brother George Sitek.

Visitation begins at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church, 1111 Belknap Street in Superior, and will continue until the Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci officiating.

Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
