Mary Anne Parzych, 88, lifelong Superior resident, died Sunday, August 4, 2019 in her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Superior, January 30, 1931, the daughter of Joseph and Julie (Coda) Deiser.
She graduated from Superior’s Cathedral High School and enjoyed her years as a homemaker, and was a bookkeeper for M & I bank for many years before her retirement.
Mary Anne was united in marriage to Bernard Parzych March 4, 1957, and they celebrated fifty-two years of marriage before his passing in 2009.
She was a longtime active member of Holy Assumption Catholic Church in Superior, where she continued to volunteer until her passing. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court 1190.
Mary Anne enjoyed crafting and gardening. She especially enjoyed her trips to the casino on the tour bus and with her grandson, John, and crafting with her special friend and caregiver. Above all, she loved spending time with her family. She had a special bond with her grandson, John, who dedicated his time as her caregiver. She will be remembered for her kindness and humor and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Jackie (Barry) Beaumont, Duluth, MN; grandchildren, John and Toni Parzych, and Bo Tadevich, all of Duluth, MN; ten great-grandchildren; nephew, Dennis; and her special friend and caregiver, Tammi Ankarlo.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bernard; her parents; and sister, Evelyn Nord.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 10, 2019, at Holy Assumption Catholic Church, 5601 Tower Avenue, Superior, with a rosary offered by the CDA Court 1190, to begin at 10:30 and will continue until the 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Fr. Ron Olson as celebrant.
Pallbearers for the service will be John, Tyler and Logan Parzych, Bo Tadevich, Bill Blume and Scott Lawrence.
Toni Parzych and Bo Tadevich Jr. will be recognized as honorary pallbearers.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Superior.
