Mary E. Beal

Mary E. Beal, 77 longtime resident of Maple, Wisconsin died peacefully, Monday, October 18, 2021 at Villa Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center in Superior, Wisconsin with her daughter by her side. She was born in Aitkin, MN July 26, 1944, the daughter of Perry Ray and Lillian (Packer) Balsley.

Mary graduated high school and enjoyed her years at home with her family. She loved Christmas and enjoyed doing puzzles and playing Yahtzee.  She especially loved Elvis and her beloved feline companions, Lucky, and Princess.

Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and will be dearly missed.  She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Oscar) Ballard, Pierre Part, LA; sons William “Billy” Balsley, and Darin Beal, both of Maple, WI; grandchildren, Nathan Alan, and Chance and Autumn Oberholtzer; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Perry Ray and Lillian; sisters, Shirley Eskola and Charlotte LaBarge; and brother, Gerald Balsley.

A Celebration of Mary’s Life and a Time of Remembrance will be held from 2:30 -4:30 PM, Friday, October 22, 2021, at Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior, WI.
