Mary Elizabeth Corcoran

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Elizabeth (Molly) Corcoran on the morning of October 8th, 2025 in Holmen/La Crosse, WI. She shared a lovely goodbye with her sister, Cecy and the nurses prayed the Rosary. Molly has lived at Bluffview Memory Care Center in Holmen, WI for the past six years. Prior to that she lived in the Minneapolis/White Bear, MN area.

Molly was born in Superior, WI on December 26, 1938 and shared a second-floor bedroom overlooking Lake Superior. She went on to retire from both teaching high school business in the Minneapolis area and nursing home administration for the Wilder Foundation in Minneapolis.

She spent her retirement years doing what she loved, traveling, caring for her lovely home, visiting family and friends and enjoying several sequential dogs, the latest being Roxy, a beautiful black Cocker Spaniel. Molly had a wonderful, wry sense of humor and was filled with joy. She cared for her mother during her final years, which gave her much happiness and sweet memories.

Molly is survived by her brother, Charles and Judy (deceased) Corcoran of Denver, CO, Sr. Cecilia Corcoran, FSPA of La Crosse, WI, her niece Monique Corcoran and her nephews Michael and Daniel Corcoran of Denver, CO. She also stayed close to her cousin, Lucy and Don (deceased) Olson of Superior, WI and their son Adam Olson who served as Molly’s Guardian.

Her parents, William and Mary Elizabeth (Zryd) Corcoran of Superior, WI, predeceased her.

Donations in memory of Molly can be sent to the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, 701 Franciscan Way, La Crosse, WI or The Christine Center, W8291 Mann Rd, Willard, WI.

An informal Celebration of Life will be held at the graveside on April 18, 2026.
